  15. This document is intended to get the user started using the VIRUSCAN product 
  16. in the Windows environment.  The following files should be in your current 
  17. directory:

  34.        CHECKING THE AUTHENTICITY OF VIRUSCAN FOR WINDOWS

  36. To get the validation code for the WINSTALL.EXE program, type

  77.                 GETTING STARTED
  78.  
  79. To run VIRUSCAN in the Windows environment, first run WINSTALL.EXE from the
  80. DOS command line.  This program will prompt the user for the name of the
  81. directory to store the necessary files.  If this directory does not exist,
  82. WINSTALL.EXE will create it.  It will then proceed to copy the files that will 
  83. be needed to that directory.

  85. Then, the user will be prompted for the name of their Windows directory.  
  86. This is where SCAN.PIF will be placed.
  87.  
  88. Next, the user should bring up Windows and run the SETUP program to search 
  89. for Windows files in its current directory.  "SCAN for Windows" will be found, 
  90. and the user should include it in the list of files to be added.

  92. "Scan for Windows" will be found in the Windows Applications group.

  97. the on-line help service in VIRUSCAN for Windows.  Choose the "Help" menu 
  98. item from the "Help" menu.
